Spreading vintage jazz music and dancing to the world, one video at a time!

Held annually since 2009, Jazz Dance Film Fest is the only film festival dedicated to jazz music and dancing. All submitted films are short films, usually the length of a song. Submitted films are screened at the festival's Screening event, which occurs during the Seattle Lindy Exchange, and are subsequently posted online. Awards for the winning films are also given out at the Screening event.

The festival has already made arrangements with several bands to allow contest participants to use their music for the contest. Of course, if you are interested in using other music, you are free to contact the musicians yourself (just be sure to make sure the music meets the contest requirements). If you are interested in creating and submitting an entry, read on!

ATTENTION: This is the LAST Jazz Dance Film Fest!

After much consideration, the organizers have decided to discontinue this contest, making this the last year. This contest started several years ago as what seemed like a crazy dream, but thanks to you, it has turned into a most wonderful reality.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this event in the past! We have been so fortunate to have all of you participate in our event, and we hope this contest will continue to inspire you to create in the future!

If you have considered making a music video, now is the time to do it! Let's take Jazz Dance Film Fest out with a bang! Get started by reading through the site for all the important details! Lights, Camera, DANCE!
